WHO ARE YOU?
We are The Face Magazine & I-D Archive. We are passionate magazine collectors and enthusiasts. We are located in the North West of England. This is our secondary website following in the footsteps of our original website which is called MagazineCanteen.com. Please read more about us in the 'About Us' Section.
ARE THESE ORIGINAL MAGAZINES?
We do not sell digital magazines, we are lifelong collectors of original and vintage magazines. We are passionate about the original printed medium of fashion magazines and enthusiastically do our bit to 'keep print alive'. We do not sell scans or copies. We only stock original vintage issues.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THESE MAGAZINE?
The condition of every single magazine offered on this website has an imperfection of some kind. This entire website is our secondary website consisting of only our less than perfect copies. Whilst not pristine, they remain perfectly consistent with the definition of a vintage publication. Each issue will have one or more minor flaw. Usually a word or two written on the cover or a folded corner here or there. Each magazine will be described accordingly.
HOW MUCH WILL POSTAGE COST ME? - UK
The weight of each magazine can vary greatly from one issue to the next.
Postage is dependant on where you live and how heavy the consignment will be. In most cases, a single issue of I-D or The Face can be posted as a large letter. Later and heavier issues over 750g will be posted s a parcel. Items posted within the UK will cost a minimum of £3.95 and a maximum of £10.95.
WORLDWIDE POSTAGE - EUROPE - USA - CANADA.
Postage outside the UK will be calculated at checkout upon entering your address details. You do not have to proceed with your order at this stage. Thin magazine orders weighing less than 750g can generally be sent as a large letter. All magazines over 750g are sent as a parcel. Orders under 2kilo are sent using Royal Mail. Orders over 2kilo are sent with a courier at a quicker speed.
We have entered the postage prices for a variety of parcel weights outside the UK. We are currently posting to the majority of Europe. The USA & Canada. Australia and numerous other countries. If you are unable to proceed with your order it could be that your country is not yet in our postage rates table. ( please contact us ) Currently our parcel maximum weight is set at 10 kilo. For larger orders please place two orders so that these can be sent safely.
HOW ARE THE MAGAZINES DELIVERED TO ME?
For reliability and convenience, we use Royal Mail within the UK. This means if you are not at home during the day you can collect the item from your post office on a day convenient to you. We post with second class signed for unless otherwise arranged. Items will require a signature. Larger orders ad bulk buys are sent using UPS or Fed-Ex
Outside of the UK, we use Royal Mail up to 2 Kilo in weight. Items heavier than 2 Kilo will be sent using UPS. In both cases, the item will require a signature upon arrival.
CAN I BUY MORE THAN ONE COPY OF A MAGAZINE?
Due to the nature of this website - each magazine with its own unique condition report will have its own product page. Each item shown is a unique '1 off' item with only 1 in stock. If we have numerous copies of the same issue - there will be a separate product page for each item. If it is for sale, we have it in stock. For galleries and exhibitions requiring several of the same item - feel free to purchase each item shown.
I AM LOOKING FOR A CERTAIN MAGAZINE NOT SHOWN. DO YOU HAVE IT?
This website will show the entire inventory we have of our less than perfect condition copies. You can of course visit our original website to find our best condition copies. MagazineCanteen
WHY DO THE PRICES DIFFER FOR THE SAME MAGAZINE?
Although the very same magazine may be shown more than once, each product page is for a physically different magazine entirely. The condition of each magazine will differ from the next. A magazine with one minor flaw will be more expensive than the same magazine available with numerous small faults.
CAN YOU PROVIDE ME WITH SCANS OR DIGITAL IMAGES FROM A MAGAZINE?
Unfortunately, no. Our aim is to provide magazine enthusiasts with the physical item of a magazine. We do not offer a search and scan facility.
I BOUGHT A MAGAZINE IN ERROR - CAN I RETURN IT?
Magazines purchased are unable to be returned for a refund or exchange. We would ask that the issues you are choosing to buy are the ones you require. If you are unsure that the magazine you wish to buy is the one you need - please ask us prior to purchase and we shall do our best to reply promptly.
